Should I use ser or estar to signify death? Ella es muerta or ella esta muerta?

esta muerta- Catholic speaking counties believe in an afterlife so we use estar in a temporary condition. This is what my profesor told us. --- Sergio

Estar because it is a change of state. You have to have lived to be dead!
