How to say ... "ran out of battery"

........as in, "sorry, my cell phone ran out of battery"?

You haven't run out of battery, it's still in your cell phone. Your battery is in a state of being discharged. Tu batería está descargada o mi batería está descargada.

Diríamos "Mi batería está descargada", pero lo más común es decir "Me quedé sin batería". Todos sabrán que te refieres a un móvil.

I think this is correct, Yes, but to make complete sense I would say; Mi móvil / celular se quedó sin batería.or better still: Mi móvil / celular está descargada y se quedó sin batería - FELIZ77, Jun 23, 2014
