Milk chocolate as opposed to dark chocolate? Chocolate often implies leche when you get hot chocolate in Mexico. How do I speak of "milk chocolate" como en las barras de chocolate and not have it be confused with una bebida?

Chocolátl (náhuatl) = Chocolate. It is the bean = cocoa

Chocolate con leche= milk chocolate

Chocolate oscuro= dark chocolate

Barra de chocolate (con leche) = milk chocolate bar.

Barra de chocolate amargo= bitter chocolate bar ( unsweetened)

Barra de chocolate semiamargo= semi sweet chocolate bar

Chocolate caliente ( beverage, it has milk)= Hot chocolate

Leche con chocolate (beverage normally cold) = chocolate milk

Adding milk to chocolate was a european invention.

The original indian drink was chocolate with chili.

Hola jefazo,

chocolatín is a chocolate bar. Most of the time they are

"milk chocolate" without your having to describe them that way.

Or you can just say una barra de chocolate.
