Did you mean descanses from descansar?

More literally, it means "rest". If it is being used as a command, then your spelling of the word would only be a used for a negative, informal command as it is the 2nd person, singular of the present tense of the subjunctive mood.

The affirmative command for "rest" would be descansa (tú) or descanse (usted)

The negative command are: No descanses tú, no descanse (usted)

Sorry, if that was more than you wanted to know.

(Espero ) que descanses! My pen-pals say this all the time, just as " que descanses." - Sheily, Mar 8, 2011
Yes, both would require the subjunctive. (veb of desire and indirect command) - 0074b507, Mar 8, 2011
Que descanses it´s used to say goodbay from a friend who cares for your hardworking day, literally it means get rest, or sleep well but actually it´s a common goodbye or bye but including the care of your friend for you to have some rest, in a good way - LTcher, Jan 28, 2015
have nothing to do with flirting y only a human to another man or woman who cares for the other human. - LTcher, Jan 28, 2015

Que descanses is an idiom of sorts. Although it means "Sleep tight" and is short for "Espero que descanses" it is used all time at the grocery etc... when the clerk says goodbye. Adiós, que descanses. It just means, take it easy, in a polite way.

¿descansas mucho?

Do you rest a lot? Do you have a lot of time off (of work)?
