Verb forms of comprar
I struggle with knowing what conjugation of a Spanish word to use but cause I don't know what conjugation it is in English. The flashcards Heidi posted to help with her passive voice exercise could be a chance for me to figure some of this out. Please let me know if what I have is right.
All the phrases are in third person singular.
no se compra present it isn't bought
se compra present is bought
se compró preterit was bought
no se comprará future won't be bought
se está comprando past perfect subjunctive was being bought
para comrara imperfect subjunctive to be bought
se está comprando gerund is being bought
se ha comprado present perfect has been bought
se puede comprar imperfect subjunctive can be bought
se podría comprar future subjunctive could be bought
comprar infinitive to buy
se comprará future will be bought
se compraría conditional would be bought
These two I am lost on:
se debería comprar should be bought
se debe comprar must be bought

Hi, Leatha,
There is a really great feature of the "conjugations"
helper on this site.
Pick any Verb and click conjugate .
If you move over the question mark
in the circle by every conjugated header, a sentence
comes up which shows that particular conjugation in
a sentence and it is already translated into English for you
by the program!
I take it from
se debería comprar conditonal/should should be bought
se debe comprar present simple/must must be bought
That I should have been looking at the at debería/debe. The same with puede/podría. One more question. Present continuous, simple present, and progressive aren't in the list of conjugations. What's the deal with those?

In the above I have only posted those with a mistake in the definition.
I added the must, should, could etc to show the use of a modal verb in passive too.
se está comprando present continuous/progressive is being bought
para comprar infinitive to be bought
se está comprando present continuous is being bought
se puede comprar present simple/can can be bought
se podría comprar conditional/could could be bought
