Do they both mean 'I love you' in the same way, or what? :D

te amo' and 'te quiero'?

te amo means I love you te quiero means I want you

You could use te quiero to show your affections to someone but stronger word then te amo. It also kinda more commanding word. Also in some contexts te quiero doesn't related to love.

ex. I want you Jan

ex I want you leo now

ex I love you so much jan

ex I love leo

I am not a native but I have always considered them interchangeable. Correct me if I'm wrong.
