Are all of these the same. Barbacoa al pastor asado parrilla

I would say barbacoa, asado and parrilla all mean bbq.

Asado is usually more like a grilled marinated meat though... not really bbq. Atleast with Mexicans. =) - DJ_Huero, Mar 5, 2011

They are not the same. They are usually compared to each other because they are the closest similarities between foods that are common in one culture but not another.

Barbecue (also, barbeque or BBQ) refers to various styles of seasoning/marinading and cooking (usually meat) that usually involve smoking or smoke flavor. See Barbecue. It is related to Barbacoa, which originates from different cultures/geographic areas.
In this sense, one might say that "al pastor" is a type or style of barbecue or barbacoa.
