I ordered french fries

Is this just "Ordené papas fritas" if I look in the bag and there are no french fries with my order? ¿Donde están las papas fritas que ordené?" Ordené papas fritas.

What about "¿No ordené papas fritas?" for didn't I order some french fries? Is it better with algunos / unos between ordené and papas fritas? Is it all right? Gracias.

He pedido patatas fritas. I ordered chips, well chips are what we call them in U.K. and we buy them in fish & chip shops to take away and you can also order them in a restaurant or cafe of course.

you could say "Ordené papas fritas." (or patatas fritas either one works fine) or you could say "¿Dónde están papas fritas que ordené?' both are good. but in the last one "No ordené papas fritas." you are saying I didn't order fries. so you could use either of the first two but not the third! cheese

If he frames it as a question, "¿No ordené papas fritas?", it works as it is the exact equivalent to "Didn't I order French fries (as well)?". - Gekkosan, Mar 4, 2011
oh okay! I didn't read it right and missed the question marks! Thank you! (: - bailey009, Mar 4, 2011
