Hello. I would like to know when am I suppose to use definite articles such as "el and la" in my sentences. Does it also make a difference if I use them or don't use them?

For example: How do I say : El tiene el bigote carto or El tiene bigote corto.

Thank You and I appreciate it.

Él tiene el bigote corto. He has a short moustache.

él is different from el. The first one is a personal pronoun, the other is a definite article.

Edit: I don't think this was your question. Anyway just mind your accents when writing in Spanish. smile

Se usa antes de un sustantivo para indicar que el objeto al que se refiere es ya conocido por el hablante y por el oyente.

Ejemplo:

Trajiste la película?
