Don't worry you've just hit what I call a saturation point, try thinking of your brain as a sponge, you've reached a point where you've soaked your brain with as much as it can hold for the moment, it just needs to absorb it - just relax and it will be absorbed naturally and before you know it the sponge will be dry and you will be off again.
All the best and don't worry you are not alone!

Hola, helio,
First, don't panic and don't be hard on yourself.
It has happened to me, too -- maybe more times than I would like to admit.
Take a break for a few days, if you can. Watch a comedy.
When you start in again, review something easy that you are pretty sure you have mastered. Something that will bring back confidence.
Try not to have unrealistic expectations in your mind of how much you want to accomplish. Just do a little at a time.
Most of all, know what is happening to you is fairly common in other endeavors too, not just language study.
Pound pillows to vent your frustration, or whatever way you like, but never, never give up trying to improve.
Take a deep breath and know we are all rooting for you!
Relax and enjoy the ride. Learning a new language is a very complex process for the brain. But it's also quite magical. There will come a time in which you will have an Ah Hah moment. Hang in there.. Y ¡mucha suerte!
Well, Heliotropeman, I guess that you can see that you are perfectly normal. We have all been where you are and are going to be there again. I have been at the end of Spanish 2 for months. I am trying to move to past tense. I have tried really hard to get the present tense, but I still forget a lot. We just have to keep going over it. I know you can do it. Don't give up.
Mate ! I have hit that wall so many times , even knocked it down a few times
also, but each time I nearly climb to the top, I shall do so one day.
Keep building your vocabulary , practice speaking and use that as a ladder
to climb the wall. If that does not work , then give it a kick and start again.
Good luck , ![]()

Try watching a TVshow a day that you like in Spanish, you don't really have to pay attention to it, just put it on in the background. Name off some shows and I will tell you how to find them.
Don't be discouraged. This happens to just about everyone. I believe much of the problem has to do with the way your brain manages storing and retrieving information. I have come to realize these points of "hitting a wall" are absolutely normal and should be expected. Sometimes, as others have suggested, you need to relax and allow your mind to absorb, store, and "re-wire" the processes.
You will probably reach several points that will cause concern. I began to see an erosion in my ability to communicate in my native language. I still experience that problem at times. My most recent experience is typing a sentence in English and accidentally inserting Spanish words, or vice-versa.
Here is a link that another member gave me a few weeks back when I posted a similar question. It helped me to be aware of the normal processes involved in learning a language.
Stay with it. You can do this.
Don't give up. Try the flashcards for vocabulary.
There are lots of reasons why our brain goes on a vacation. A few of them are stress, anxiety, fatigue, love, and, in my case, encroaching old age. Maybe you need a little break.
Language learning always feels like that.
Keep at it.
