A Mexican friend uses in writing "haste" in place of "hazte" in writing. Is this an alternate way of writing the imperative for "make yourself"?

Large numbers of Spanish speakers use the "seseo" (pronounce the 'z' and 'c' [[before 'i' and 'e'] the same way that they pronounce 's'), for them 'haz' and 'has' (if it were a word) are pronounced identically. Combine that with poor spelling habits and you get people writing "has" when they should write "haz" or "haser" instead of "hacer".

In writing, "haste" is incorrect. The proper spelling is "hazte".
