Translating this sentence . . . it is confusing.

Question

"Nosotros deseamos hacerte el favor" translates to "We wish you a favor" when I use translator. But then I have to reword it using double object pronouns.

I don't even know where to begin on this one.

Can you help? Thanks.

That translation is not correct

A closer one would be the second option from the translator: "We desire to do you the favor". Work with this one a little bit.

By double object pronoun, I'm guessing you mean using direct and indirect object pronouns.

Let me see if I can try this.

Look at the sentence

Nosotros deseamos hacerte el favor,

"nosotros" is the subject.

"te" is the indirect object

"el favor" is the direct object (takes the action of the verb).

This link gives some examples of construction of sentences using direct and indirect object pronouns.

Here's my guess. I'm a student, too.

Te lo deseamos hacer. (I left the verb out of the original post).

To follow, we can add the pronouns to the end of the verb of action to make

"Deseamos hacertelo" which is the solution samdie gave. (I hope I did that right).

Deseamos hacertelo follows the original form and allows for direct and indirect object pronouns.
