Another question about double object pronouns

Question

OK, this one has me stumped: The question is:

¿Yo te mencioné las circunstancias?

I think it is saying "Would I mentioned the circumstances?"

I need to answer the question, beginning with "No" and then use double object pronouns, i..e., "No, I will not mention the circumstances." However, when I use the translator, it translates it as "No, no voy a mencionar las circunstancias." But I can't use "mencionar" because I have to use a double object pronouns.

So I went with: "No, no voy a mencionselas," like in my previous post, but that didn't work either.

No, no me las mencionaste. - No, you didn't mention them to me.

The original question asks "Did I mention the circumstances to you?"

I must be missing something, but the original question

¿Yo te mencioné las circumstancias?

says (I think) "I mentioned the circumstances to you?"

To which I would reply

"No, you didn't mention the circumstances."

This is a good question and I may be terribly wrong, but in the question

"mention" is the verb

"yo" is the subject pronoun

"te" is the indirect object pronoun

"las cirumstancias" is the direct object

¿Yo te las mencioné?

So (I think) your reply using direct and indirect object pronouns is

No, no me las mencionaste

Wow. I didn't even translate the original question correctly. The 'Yo te" stumped me. I am going to try and do the rest on my own. I know it can't be that hard. Double object pronouns have "rules" you have to abide by, and I am usually pretty good when it comes to rules in grammar, whether it be English or Spanish. Thanks.

That's still confusing. I am trying to write, "No, you didn't mention them to me." So that would be:

"No, no los mencionan a mí." But I must use a double object pronoun. I have "los," which is my direct object pronoun, and I know indirect object pronouns must precede indirect object pronouns. So with that, do I write:

"No, no te los mencionan a mí"? Because "te" refers to "you" and "los mencionan" refers to "them." Right?
