I read about the irregular preterit in the reference section, but i really want to know how can i know this is regular or irregular, I wrote the irregular preterit verbs which they are (andar, estar, tener, caber, haber, poder, poner, saber, hacer, querer, venir, conducir, decir, traducir, traer). Are these all the irregular verbs?? if there are more how do I know then??

you just have to learn verb by verb. Some verbs are irregular only in one tense, and some in all tenses. But of course there are many regular verbs in all tenses.

I don't believe that there is any short cut beyond memorizing which verbs are irregular in the preterite tense. One blessing is that most are common verbs so that you quickly learn to recognize the irregular forms. There are some subsets that help you such as recognizing Go verbs (tengo, caigo, pongo, hago, vengo, digo, traigo) which are irregular in other tenses, but mainly it is memorization.

If you want to check on the "status" of a verb, here, on this site,

you can go to the "More" menu at the top of your screen, and

scroll down to "Conjugation".

Just type in any verb, and it will show you any and all irregularities in red!

Have fun!

You can see a somewhat longer list of irregular verbs here.

There's also whole families of verbs similar to these common basic irregular ones, for example, tener and detener conjugate the same way.
