Difference between 2:15 and 2:04

Cuatro means 4 or quarter when expressing times. It’s quarter past two(2:15) means son las dos y cuatro. I wonder whether quince seldom used in expressing times? Does cuatro is only used in this case?

I also wish to know how to express “ It’s four minutes past two” is Spanish. If it’s quarter past two means son las dos y cuatro, how to express it’s four minutes past two? Does son las dos y cuatro means only 2:15 or does this also means 2:04? How native speaker differentiate these two?

Las dos y cuarto (1/4) or 2:15. Very seldom will you hear "Las dos y quince", but it's not incorrect.

Please beware of the spelling difference between cuarto (one fourth) vs. cuatro (four).

2:04 is expressed as "Son las dos y cuatro minutos"
