You have spent all your pocket money and want to go to the movies. Write a message to your brother explaining why you have borrowed some of his money.

YO: Me prestas cuarenta dólares? Quiero ir al cine.

HERMANO: Porque quieres ir al cine cuando no tienes dinero? Has gastado todo tu dinero y ahora quieres que te de el mío?

YO: Es que.... No quiero decir que quiero ir al cine. Pues, no iba a decir nada, pero... Ya no tenía dinero y necesitaba más para comprarte un regalo por... por tu cumpleaños!

HERMANO: Pero... No es mi cumpleaños hasta junio...

YO: Si... pero necesito ahorrar dinero para que yo te consiga una nueva computadora!

HERMANO: Genial!

YO: ...tienes cuarenta dólares? ...Quiero ir al cine.

Me: Could you lend me $40? I want to go to the movies.

Brother: Why do you want to go to the movies when you don't have any money? You've spent all of your cash and now you want me to give you mine?

Me: It's just that... I didn't mean that I wanted to go to the movies. Okay, I wasn't going to say anything, but... I already didn't have any money and I needed more to buy you a gift... for your... birthday!

Brother: But it's not my birthday until June...

Me: Yes, but... I need to save up so that I can buy you a... new computer!

Brother: Awesome!

Me: So... do you have $40? ...I wanna go to the movies.

unos dineros is used but is incorrect, dinero is always plural so you don't have to add an "s" at the end so I would say: Me cogí un dinero del escondrijo... regresaré el dinero después de que haya ido al banco. - Dakie, Feb 27, 2011
