Could someone help with this sentence?

Question

Could someone please help me construct this sentence? I've tried several solutions, but they all sound like an English speaking person trying to speak Spanish.

Here's what I want to say (in English)

Please consult the dictionary if you need to know all the meanings of this word.

Here's what I have in Spanish

Por favor, consulte el diccionario si necesites para saber todos los significados de esta palabra.

Should the verb be saber (to know), veer (to see), leer (to read)?

Is the punctuation correct?

Is the use of "si necesites" acceptable?

Is the placement of "para" correct?

Any other input and suggestions will be appeciated. Thanks!

"Por favor, consulte el diccionario si necesita saber todos los significados de esta palabra.

si necesita = in almost all cases in the present tense, si is followed by indicative. Necesita since you used consulte, that way being consistent with usted conjugation. Para is not necessary because necesitar + infinitivo = to need to do something.

The comma seems unnecessary, and ver would sound better in place of saber but if they want you to say "know" then I would stick with what you have.

I'd remove the para, looks fine to me aside from that.

As to whether you use necesites or necesitas, I guess that that depends on the exact meaning that you wish to get across.
