This looks like a homework assignment that was designed to illustrate idiosyncratic elements of language that "just don't translate."

Along the same lines, it is difficult/impossible to translate poetry, jokes, or riddles, for example, that depend on rhyme, alliteration, or pun, because these things are for the most part unique to each language and get "lost in translation."
