I have never understood her
"I have never understood her"
I saw the above in another thread with the translation being "Sigo sin entenderla".
I was wondering, would the following direct translation be accurate too: "Nunca la he entendido"? Or is it just unusual to express it this way?

Hi NickDan,
There is a slight difference between them:
Sigo sin entenderla - Literally: I go on without understanding her. Might be translated as: I still don't understand her. The action of not understanding happens now and directed towards the future.
Nunca he la entendido - I believe it should be: Nunca la he entendido . I have never understood her. The action of not understanding originated in the past and is still ongoing. To my knowledge, this variant is used more often than the first.
Hope this helps
Saludos, Chica
