I've had two types of uninvited guests in apartments I've lived in, the first one was this: Innocent little creatures (a kind of ant), I just put out some poison, and they found another path, so they didn't have to enter in my kitchen and leave through my bathroom.

The second one, in another apartment, was this:

Gaaargh. Every time I went into the kitchen, there were one or two, swishing away - even their movements gave me the shivers - into some crack in a wall or the floor. Nightmares are made of these. Mine was even more grayish, nasty looking. But since we had them in the whole block, they were taken care of.

Keeping with the insect theme. The thing I hate the most is when an earwig crawls into your ear. It actually happened to me once and I thought I would go insane before my husband got it out by squirting water into my ear! You should have heard the swear words I was saying!

Honestly I am not kidding. Earwigs seek dark moist tubes for hiding. If you put a dark straw outside, they will go in. They commonly go into ears and hence the name earwigs. They do no harm in there except scare you to death. - happyquilter, Feb 22, 2011

I looked it up (finally), and Wikipedia says: "Earwigs are fairly abundant and can be found virtually everywhere, especially throughout the Americas and Eurasia". Well, I hadn't heard about them before, and in particular not in Norway, so we'll see. - Vikingo, Feb 22, 2011
