What is the difference between adonde y adónde? I looked them up in the translation bar, yet there definitions are the same. I am most likely missing something, thus would anyone as to be so kind to explain it to me? Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Your help is GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Adónde means Where used in a question. ¿Adónde vas?

Adonde means Where/wherever used as a relative pronoun. Voy adonde quieras

By the way, both words stem from Dónde or Donde, which also mean Where. In some cases, you can combine a preposition together with an adverb to form a single word.

The tilde is used when asking a question. That is the only difference. You will find this in a lot of your question words such as que and qué, como and cómo.

You use it with a tilde when you are asking and you don't use it when you are saying a normal sentence, take a look at this.
