An old song, translation help.
Well my birthday is coming soon, and at the party I will be expected to sing (in my limited "basso profundo"). I have my song dedicated to my wife "ay mujer" from Juan luis guerra " down. but herein lies the issue.
There is an old irish song " I remember the old days- wishing in my heart it was sunday-drinking buttermilk though the week - whiskey on a sunday.!
The message is , being responsible all week and a party boy on sunday. To translate this would be foolishness! But to convey this message to my group of friends is the intent. (of course I can't go to them) they don't speak english, and they would know what I am up to if they did. I am hoping you can post a phrase that will carry the same meaning in spanish, without being literal.
