which is proper rojo or roja for red salsa

"Give me some salsa rojo and some spanish rice" someone said it should be salsa roja in the feminine. Which is correct?

By using the dictionary above you will find out that "salsa" is a feminine noun and since in Spanish adjectives need to agree with nouns, it would be proper to say, "roja salsa". Hope this helps.

Since salsa is a feminine word (la salsa) it takes the -a ending for adjective. Most Americans don't usually care for gender agreement, especially when speaking their own language, but the proper way is salsa roja.

Welcome to the Forum, uu4. You can often tell that the noun is feminine if it ends in 'a' like salsa and that is your clue to make the adjective feminine as well. Check out the lessons on the site. cheese

i would said **salsa roja **because salsa y roja are feminine.
