I've heard some of hers. What about songs by the Beatles done in Spanish? Or, songs by Elton John? - claylavl, Feb 19, 2011
Actually, Shakira sings some of her songs in English. Her first language is Spanish! She is Colombian. - farallon7, Oct 25, 2011

How did you get the name of the song to show up in the link? I tried putting quotes around it like the instructions said and it broke the link. - Ron_Austin, Feb 20, 2011

I am not sure what you are looking for, but Freddy Fender likes to sing a verse in Spanish and then sing it in English in some of his songs.

Here is one of his best known songs with lyrics both in English and Spanish.

I've heard of him. Was he a Mexican man? - claylavl, Feb 20, 2011
Freddy Fender was born in TX and died in 2006. This video was sung by Clay Walker but I chose it because it has the lyrics as well as the audio. - Ron_Austin, Feb 20, 2011

As dewclaw said, Shakira has a lot of English songs translated from Spanish.

One of my favorite Shakira's songs is "Gypsy" or in Spanish "Gitana".

You can hear the English version in this link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3-GiVIE8gc&NR=1

and the Spanish version in this link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QL8-8badzks

Well, there are more songs like that.

Unchained melody was remade in Spanish; there is a 70's song that says something like "I heard it rained the night Chicago died" that was remade in Spanish a few years back...Actually, there are ALOT of English songs that have been remade into Spanish songs.

Celine Dion, Beyonce, The Police, Queen, Iron Maiden have all had their songs remade, or they themselves have remade their own songs into Spanish. TheSpanishVersion.org has a playlist of hundreds of Spanish language cover songs that you can browse.
