High And Low in Spanish?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I believe its an expression... I can't figure out the true meaning. Can anyone explain it? with some examples in English and Spanish?

(I'm not talkin about Alto y Bajo).

I think you may be talking about altibajos, which can be translated as:

Unevenness (of terrain) or Ups and downs

For example, there a song that goes..

"And I look high and low for yesterday"

And there are movies titled "high and low".

I think what Margaret said is correct, like por todas partes, but I thought it had a more mystical meaning. Maybe I was wrong, and it's just that.. por todas partes.
