Hello, I have a quiz next week. I am confused of how to answer questions negatively? Is there a formula? Like for ¿Quieren ustedes patinar en línea con nosotros? Would I say: No, no Quieren ustedes patinar en línea con nosotros

You have the formula right, but if someone asks, "Do you (guys) want to go skating with us?" you would typically answer, "No, we don't want to go skating with you.? What you said was, "No, you guys don't want to go skating with us." That's not really answering the original question, just converting the question into a negative statement.
You have to switch the verb conjugation and the pronouns to the other viewpoint, so to speak.
