How do you say great-great-great-grandfather? Is it the same as bisabuelo? Or would it be bis-bis-bisabuelo?

Hi, I know that after great-grandfather (bisabuelo), the prefix "tátara" is used. I believe that great-great-grandfather would be "tátara tartarabuelo."
Welcome to the forum, see the above dictionary entry for great great grandfather, I am not sure about great-great-great grandfather.

This link lists "chotezno", but that word is not in DRAE.
From another source:
Grandfather - Abuelo
Great-grandfather - Bisabuelo
Great-great-grandfather - Tatarabuelo
Great-great-great-grandfather - Tátara-tatarabuelo
Great-great-great-great-grandfather - Tátara-tátara-tatarabuelo
tátara-tatarabuelo sounds funny. And believe me, you don't want to say "chotezno" in Argentina, it means something really funny and perverted.
The real world for tátara-tatarabuelo is chozno, but very few people knows that and all the people use the tátara-tatara way.
(excuse me if my english has flaws).
hmmm... we usually add "tatara"... so great-great-great-grandfather is
tátara-tatarabuelo
Wow.... Good question! I would get around this by saying The dad of the dad of the dad of the dad of the dad of my dad. ![]()
