"Attorney at law" or "licensiado/a/ de derecho" the Méxican educational system is a bit different, a law degree which gets you your "license to practice" is a five year degree. Once there you can continue to our equivalent of J.D. "juris doctor".

JD or Juris Doctor. Law School in the US is at the Master's level. You need to have a Bachelor's degree (Licenciatura o pre-grado) before entering Law School.

Synonyms --- attorney or lawyer.
