Soy adicta al foro. Por eso estoy formando este grupo para dar apoyo a ellos (incluyendo yo mismo) de quienes necesiten una obligación de dar cuenta. Si ustedes quieren unir, simplemente nos digan sus metas inmediatas, y nos informen cuando sean terminadas. Usen qualquier idioma. Trateré hablar en inglés y español para practicar el español.

I am addicted to the forum. For this reason I'm forming this group to support those (including myself) who need accountability. If you would like to join, simply tell us your immediate goals, and inform us when they are completed. Use any language. I will be using English and Spanish so I can practice Spanish.

Mi meta primera es terminar el parte de escribiendo del cuaderno del internet de capitulo 6 de mi libro de texto. Estoy estudiando el secundo año de español de nivel universidad por estudio independente.

My first goal is to complete the writing portion of the online workbook for chapter 6 of my textbook. I am taking second year college spanish through independent study.

@Happyquilter: The present subjunctive is not used following conjunction "si" (desee → desea). - Izanoni1, Feb 16, 2011
Happy: "-ga" in Spanish takes a hard g. You need to change g to j to retain the "ha" sound. I also suggest you change your tense to an imperative in either vosotros or ustedes form since obviously you are addressing more than 1 person. - Deanski, Feb 16, 2011
Thank you! I have tried to make the corrections. Deanski, where is the "ga" that I need to change? - happyquilter, Feb 16, 2011
corríjanme (verb & direct object pronoun together) > corrígan me - Deanski, Feb 16, 2011
Please feel free to correct me. Por favor corríjanme si desean. - happyquilter, Feb 16, 2011
Thank you Deanski! I want to pay you! Jeje. Keep them coming. - happyquilter, Feb 16, 2011
@Happyquilter: jejeje...you changed your verb but kept the subjunctive: "Si ustedes quieran" → "Si (ustedes) quieren" - Izanoni1, Feb 18, 2011
Thank you izanoni. I think it is fixed now. I really appreciate all the help. It improves me! - happyquilter, Feb 18, 2011

I am studying the preterite this week. We have to know the regular, and the common irregular verbs along with the ustedes commands and two chapters of vocabulary which is about 150 words. So I will be doing a lot of flash cards and conjugation practice. I appreciate this thread. It is so encouraging. We have a test this Thursday, so I'll be off to study.

I wish you luck on your test Sandy :) even thought you don't need it ;) - 00b6f46c, Mar 7, 2011
Good luck with the preterit. when I had to memorize that, i made a photocopy of the textbook pages that had the conjugations (2-3 pages) and carried them in my purse to study during brief moments throughout the day. - happyquilter, Mar 7, 2011

Hola Compañeros. Ya que este grupo es para responsabilidad y obligación de dar cuenta, quisiera sugerir que hagan una meta pequeña y especifica, entonces nos digan cuando la terminan. Por ejemplo, ¿cuál es su próxima lección? o ¿qué es el siguiente paso para mejorar el español escrito y hablado?

Hi Compañeros. Since this group is for responsibility and accountablility, I would like to suggest that you set a small specific goal, then tell us when you complete it. For example, which is your next lesson, or what is the next step to improve your written and spoken spanish?

Correcters, I forgot if I should capitalize the first word inside the question marks, like cuál and qué. - happyquilter, Feb 16, 2011

I am back from Peru and I need to continue my Spanish study. I will probably try to finish my book independently. Peru was great, but I realize that I really need to practice my Spanish as much as possible. I am so glad we have this support!

Folks, after studying Spanish for 82 straight days, I broke my arm and got off schedule. I got back on schedule yesterday and am aiming for 100 straight days of studying Spanish.

"adicción," "¡a estudiar!," "ahora mismo." I really felt free to correct jeje, sorry. - Deanski, Feb 16, 2011
another = just otro, not un otro. - Deanski, Feb 16, 2011
Y ahora...¡a estudiar! And now... to study! Sí ahora mismo. Yes right now - happyquilter, Feb 16, 2011
