Desafortunadamente, ¡la directora la dijo que ella está demasiado tiquismiquis!

I'm concerned about having a past and a present verb in the same sentence; however, I do not know what else to use. Thanks.

One verb is in the main clause and the other is not. This is not a problem. - Sabor, Feb 15, 2011
I think it should be "es demasiado tiquismiquis" - Eddy, Feb 16, 2011

Desafortunadamente, la directora le dijo que (ella) estaba demasiado tiquismiquis.

I would leave out the exclamation marks since this is report speech.

Is this word used at all? if so, where?

It would appear to have been used on Spanishdict.com, at least four times to date on this post, hehe.

Like you I had never heard of it.

I must admit that I have never heard the word "tiquismiquis" in my life. I looked it up and now I know what it means and what it's all about, but it concerns me that, I've spoken spanish my entire life, and this word made no sense to me raspberry

I have never used it myself, but I vaguely remember hearing it before. I'd say quisquilloso(a). - gone, Feb 16, 2011
Thank you! I thought I was going mad :P - ZooZoo, Feb 16, 2011
