Hello, all 
. I thought I'd start this game as way for us to introduce new words to our vocabulary and actively apply it. There are plenty options to choose from in the dictionary here. Have fun!
Vocab Builder: Use a new word that you've never used before
Rules:
1.I will start by writing a sentence in Spanish using a word that is new to me.
2.Then, the next person will use my word in a sentence and a new word in another sentence.
3.The next person will use the previous person's new word and one of their own.
4.And continue like
that (2 sentences a person)! Simple, right?
Please include definitions! (Pictures are welcome as well as translations

Translation: Sara forgot the combination to her locker.

( The woman from Catalonia that I saw, wore high heels! )
Ayer pisé los frenos con tanta fuerza, y casi me salí de la carretera.
( Yesterday I stepped on the brakes so hard, that I almost went off the road. )

Let go of the remote control. My favorite TV show is about to start.
Mientras el mando estaba perdido, Renzo se perdió el programa.
While the remote was lost, Renzo missed his program.
La catalana fue a casa en Barcelona.
The woman from Catalonia went home to Barcelona.
Cuchuchearán que la nueba vecina era pelirroja y muy graciosa. (The whispered that the new neighbor had red hair and she was very funny)
Los niños gustan de beber la leche en el desayuno. (The boys like to drink milk on breakfast)
La Señora Gomez se enfadó cuando vio a los niños pisando su jardín.
Mrs. Gomez got angry when she saw the children treading/trampling on her garden.
pisar - to step on, to trample on
Las viejas se cuchucheaban la una a la otra sobre la vecina nueva.
The old ladies were whispering to each other about the new neighbor.
cuchuchear - to whisper, to speak with a low voice
un colgante - a pendant
El colgante de mi abuela es muy precioso a mí, así que siempre lo llevo.
My grandmother's pendant is very precious to me, so I always wear it.
desayuno - breakfast
Cuando era nina siempre preparaba el desayuno a mi madre para el día de los madres.
When I was young I always prepared breakfast for my mother on Mother's Day.
sobornar - to bribe
Cuando recibí una multa, traté sobornar la policía.
When I received a ticket, I tried to bribe the police.
la teja - (roof) tile
Después de que gano un poco más dinero, voy a reemplazar la teja.
After I earn a little more money, I'm going to replace the (roof) tile.
desgastado - shabby (in regards to clothing)
Después de tres meses, se puso desgastada la ropa del hombre varado.
After three months, the stranded man's clothing became shabby.
