Pacific Ocean fish, Boynoti?

I'm looking for the english name of a fish that I notice in the Pacific Ocean today off the cost of Mexico.

The Mexican that we spoke with referred to it as a: "Buyunote"

Not sure now to spell it but it sounds like what I've written above. It was a very very large shark like fish.

Can you assist me with that the name of it is?

Thanks for the response but I'm sure it was not a bonita. It actualy looked like a large shark. It had a large dorsel fin showing out of the water along with a large tail fin that showed out of the water. Often they were both out of the water at the same - Bossdanmar, Feb 14, 2011

Sounds like "bonita" to me a fast swimmer that (I think ) is in the tuna family. I have caught a lot of them over the years and they are "bonita" (pretty)
