Good speech for listening practice (video)
Hola Amigos, I''ve attached a link to a speech from last night's Goya Awards (Spain's national movie awards, similar to the Oscars of the US) by director Álex de la Iglesia. De la Iglesia is the outgoing president of the Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España. You may find the content (i.e., the use of the internet for watching movies with allusions to Spain's recently-passed "anti-downloading" law) interesting, and the director speaks slowly and clearly.
It should be a good listening exercise if you are interested. Enjoy!

I don't think that it is because he speaks slowly, but that he enunciates superbly and he knows how to pause rather than run his sentences together. No dropped consonants from the end of his words, etc. He definitely speaks clearly. Thank you for posting it.
Hi Friends, You're welcome! I actually found a couple of websites that had the text of the speech. Here is one of them:
He was quite clear and articulate, but this tells me that I've still got alot to learn. I had difficulty in understanding the content of his speech.
Hi Chris,
I am thrilled to have this. Because his speech is so clear I can spell the words I don't know and look them up. Thanks very much.
¡Gracias chris!
