Crossword puzzles, Books or magazines

I am brand new here and I was wondering if any Spanish language newspapers have crossword puzzles that I could use to practice. Almost every major english language paper has at least a weekly crossword puzzle.

Also, does anyone know of something like children's books in Spanish?

Depending on where you live, you can probably go to the public library and get elementary school level books in Spanish. For sure you can get them on Amazon. That's exactly what I did when I decided to learn Spanish. I figured reading would be easier than speaking and listening at first. It worked. Now I can read almost anything in Spanish. I've read most of the classics. But I warn you, I still have difficulty understanding spoken spanish so don't shortchange that. I can recommend dozens of movies, audiobooks and the like in Spanish. Just send me a private message so I don't irritate everyone here by re-posting my list yet again. I saw a movie in Spanish just the other day that was very much like Oceans 11 but even funnier. If you have netflix you can watch it instantly since I'm assuming you are excited to start.

I read comics in spanish, they are so good for learning because of the dialogue, it is constant. I read Calvin and hobbes and garfeild amd lots of others.

A spanish mag called magazine has a crossword but its hard. Here´s a link for a great site for practicing, if I find a crowwword site I'll let you know
