Correct use of imperfect past tense.

Is it correct to use the imperfect for the following example. I feel that the use of the imperfect is suitable becausse I am describing characteristics of the survey "encuesta". Thanks for the help>

"La encuesta era muy fácil entender y completar. Tardaba más o menos 10 - 15 hacerlo."

The correct way to say it is: La encuesta era muy fácil de entender y completar. Tardé más o menos 10 - 15 minutos en hacerla.

Because it was an ongoing condition I would also choose the imperfect. If you fancy some practice you could resurrect this game

That would be the reason for using Ser (era), rather than Estar (estaba)...not using the imperfect past (era, estaba) over the preterite past tense (fue, estuvo)
