Tira y toca..... ¡no comprendo esto!
This is a line of a song that has me stumped. The context is about looking into someone's eyes, and words not being necessary to communicate what is between them.
Then it says-
El silencio tira porque le toca y en mi boca se calla.
My best guess just doesn't cut it:
The silence says it because it's about you and it stops my mouth.
Suggestions anyone?

Silence "speaks" because it is its turn, but it then hushes in my mouth.
Poetry is often very hard to understand. It's frequently all about how words make you feel, rather than about the exact meaning. There are lots of poetry lines I don't understand, both in English and Spanish, even though I understand all the words.
For example, what does Sam Phillips mean by:
"Our madness envy and desire
ring you with an unforgiving fire
you love them with a burning soul
by the time he sold the ashes they were cold"
(Circle of Fire). What is that song about?
I don't know what "El silencio tira porque le toca y en mi boca se calla." means, exactly, and I don't know what Sam's lyrics mean exactly, either.
Is he/she just speechless gazing into the eyes of their beloved? (no grammar study involved with this)
Hi Goyo!
I guess it's a pun: In the play called "el juego the la oca" when someone roll the dice and arrive to a square with a goose, then he/she says:
De oca a oca y ¡tiro porque me toca!
and rolls the dice again
Some context for Margaret:
Cada vez que yo me miro en tu cara sobran nuestras palabras.
El silencio tira porque le toca y en mi boca se calla.
Cada vez que yo me miro en tu cara y la luna se mira en el rio tu cara gitana brilla mas si yo te miro.
