Civil partnership

I think the words "civil partnership" can mean what we call "pareja de hecho". I mean, a man and a woman who lives together and they have their papers in order but they are not married.

Am I right?.

Oh, at first I thought that you meant a type of business run by at least two partners under civil law. LOL

Civil partnerships in the United Kingdom, granted under the Civil Partnership Act 2004, give same-sex couples rights and responsibilities comparable to civil marriage. In Aargentina that´s unión civil and it works just like a civil marriage Civil unions can often come under other terms such as registered partnership and civil partnership.

I think there may be different terms for this in different countries Nila. In the U.S., we call any couple who has lived together for seven years married by common law.

I will try to check into this more though. smile
