Vendemos 50 referencias en mangueras

Hello.

I have a Guatemala customer and reply me the mail "vendemos 50 referencias en mangueras"

I know all of the vocabularies, however, I am confused the meansing "referencias" in this sentences. I thought some possibilities. But I have to translate to my boss and I dont' want to misunderstand the real meaning from my customer.

The following is my guess. 1. We sell 50 kinds of hoses. 2. We sell hoses from 50 suppliers 3. Or the other meaning?

referencia in this case is reference code, so for instance they have 50 different models of a product and maybe they have 10 suppliers of it.

However, please note that in some places mangueras are rubber insulated cables. Check this link

I like No. 1. we sell 50 different products referred to as hoses. (they may not all be hoses, however, but referenced under hoses (hydraulic connections, fittings, etc. for hoses, pressure lines, etc.)
