En español puedes formar adverbios agregando el sufijo -mente, más o menos como en inglés funciona el sufijo -ly:

rápido - rápidamente

quick - quickly

Gramaticalmente, lo correcto es decir:

Camino rápidamente (because it is an adverb).

Pero la Real Academia Española admite en algunos casos omitir el uso del sufijo -mente.

Así, también puedes decir:

Camino rápido.

o

Camino rápidamente.

rápida is an adjective (seems to be missing its accent mark in one entry)

rápidamente is an adverb

sola can mean alone, single (adjective)

solamente=only, just solely (adverb)

solo (sólo)= however, can be tricky since the accent mark is no longer required.

An adjective modifies or describes a noun.

An adverb can modify or describe a verb.

Therefore as an example using the words quick (adjective) and quickly (adverb).

The quick boy - Here the adjective quick, is describing the boy which is a noun.

The boy runs quickly - Here the adverb quickly, is decribing how the boy "runs", which is a verb.

Oh, because yo estuvé hablando con mi amigo Cecilaia y cúando yo le dije, "yo camino rápidamente a escuela", she didn't understand. Or maybe it's just one of those little cutural changes? Like different dialects between different países?

Often times when I go out to eat and am asked what I want to drink, I'll always respond by saying "Solo te" (Just tea). Should I be using the word solamente instead?

Yes, you could use both. But "solo" is ok. - LuisCache, Feb 9, 2011
The correct response would be, "Me gustaría un té". When you say solo it could be taken somewhat harsh. - DJ_Huero, Feb 10, 2011

"Sola" is the feminine form of "Alone."

Solamente = Only Sólo = Only

(You can use both -sólo, solamente- at any time)
