Jama's and nunca..What's the difference?

How different are the words jamás and nunca? There does'nt seem to be a big difference in our dictionary. Is it a context issue?

Nunca se usa más que jamás. Jamás tiende a ser más poética o más dramática o a veces más tajante o determinante. Aparte de eso, creo que su uso específico es generalmente una elección personal.

Nuca is never. Jamas I think would be used more often for again. For example, when one says nunca jamas they are saying never again.

The phrase "nunca jamás" translates into English as "never ever" (usually). "Never again" is also a fine way to translate "nunca jamás." However, I don't think that jamás means "again" when used by itself. Saludos! - webdunce, Feb 7, 2011
