Use of subjunctive after esperar

Would this be correct? Espero que mi explicacion es clara or is "sea clara" correct? I am usually confused with verb use after esperar. Gracias.

"Espero que" sets up subjective since its a wish.
like I wish it happens..
so it should be sea claro.

I think that 'sea clara' would be correct.
