llevar v tener?
Why was llevar used in the sentence below instead of tener? I have not seen a sentence using llevar in this way before.
Llevo todo el día jugando al ping-pong.
I've been playing table tennis all day long.
Gracias

You can use llevar in time constructions like that.
Llevo dos días aquí. I've been here for two days, I've spent two days here.
Llevar + gerund, "to have been doing something".
I can't tell you why Llevar was used here other than the fact that this is a very common idiomatic structure. The sentence is perfectly correct.
