Say if I wanted to say "I don't know, you tell me!" would this be, No sé. ¡Dímelo tú! I think it sounds right what do you think?

You can say: Dime tú o Dímelo tú or even Di tú. You can also use the future to convey the same meaning:

Tú me dirás. In this case, tú goes first. And it's idiomatic, so there's no sense trying to figure it out.

Everyone saying you don't need tú is wrong.

It's the difference between "tell me" and "YOU tell me". Seems obvious.

The di in dimelo implies tu so dimelo really means YOU tell me. Is this not obvious????? - fatchocobo, Feb 5, 2011

I don't think you need the tú at the end.

Yes, you do. And that will tell it apart from Dime --- Tell me - gone, Feb 4, 2011
"di" implies tu so it is unnecessary - fatchocobo, Feb 4, 2011
You don't need "tu" - chicasabrosa, Feb 4, 2011
But "I don't know, you tell me" emphasizes the distinction between I and you, so I would think tú is needed here. - pesta, Feb 4, 2011
I agree with Usarenzo this time. Yes, in this case the "tú" is indeed necessary. - Gekkosan, Feb 4, 2011
