Han escuchado la frase: "Si te digo la verdad, te miento"? Es paradójica. ¿Qué creen que signifique?

Literally "if I told you the truth I'd be lying" , but the actual meaning in day to day conversation is "to be honest I really don't know". Used mostly when you would be expected to know the answer but don't. " Example : ¿tu sobrina ya va al colegio? Si te digo la verdad te miento.
