Es dificil cuando hay solo una madre pero hay dos niños que necsicitan disciplina.

Era más dificil criar muchachos cuando todo eran en blanco y negro. Recuerdo bien aquellos tiempos.

Cuando todo (todas las cosas) eran "en" blanco y negro. Recuerdo bien "aquellos" tiempos. Or "me acuerdo bien..."

It was more difficult raising children when everything was black and white. I well remember those times.

Note: 'cuando' is a conjunction and takes no tilde.
