I would have thought that simply, "No me acuerdo tampoco" would have been okay, too. Even preferable in most cases.

Well, I mean, just "Yo tampoco" by itself would probably be the most common response. But I think including the yo when using the whole sentence would have the same contrasting or emphasizing effect it has everywhere else. - webdunce, Feb 3, 2011
