Polyglot, my guess is

"Estudio español sólo cinco minutos por día."

or

"Estudio español solamente cinco minutos por día."

I believe "only" is used as an adverb in this sentence. I'm not sure which (if either) is correct.

Exactly. We can also say "......... al día" - 005faa61, Feb 2, 2011

sola means alone or by my own.

solo means only.

Therefore:

Estudio español solo cinco minutos por dia.

"Solo" means alone or by my own too. only is sólo or solamente. - culé, Feb 2, 2011

I'm guessing you want this checked(?). If so, here's how I would write it (not to say yours is wrong -- with the exception of "sola"):

Sólo estudio español 5 minutos cada día.

If you wanted a comment:

I think it would help if you put more time into your studies, especially if you want to be a polyglot. Keep striving smile
