Each day when meaning every day is usually translated as todos los días.

Todos los días cuando llegué a casa, comencé a llamar [telefonear] a mis clientes.

Be careful with the conjunction/adverb cuando. When what follows it refers to "future time" even in the past the subjunctive mood is used in the clause.

I think.. you have to use imperfect, since it is a habitual action.

So.. I think it should be :

Todos los días cuando yo llegaba a la casa, comenzaba a llamar a mis clientes.

and of course. u can use present tense..

Todos los días cuando yo llego a la casa, comenzo a llamar a mis clientes.

I don't see how a sentence that starts by "cada día" can be formulated in perfect past tense. Besides, personal pronouns are not necessary.

I'd say :

Cada día, cuando llego a casa, comienzo a llamar a mis clientes.

Or: Todos los días al llegar a casa llamo a mis clientes.

I like the alternate one. - 0074b507, Feb 1, 2011
I see no problem with the past tense. It may no longer be true in the present. - 0074b507, Feb 1, 2011
I meant in perfect past, sorry, Quentin :) - cogumela, Feb 1, 2011
Perfect tense makes no sense, when it comes to an everyday action. - cogumela, Feb 1, 2011
