How to say "Cheesy Music"?

Question

Hey, I've been trying to find the translation of Cheesy Music and I'm getting millions of different answers. I was wondering if a native speaker could help in the translation?

I have Canciones Cebollas from Chile. But that doesn't make sense.

I've always used "musica cursi". But I'm not sure if that's what you're looking to say exactly.

Cheesy used as "low quality" is an idiom, which would explain why you have received so many different meanings since idioms vary from country to country. "Cheezy music" basically means "Música inferior," "Música de baja calidad," etc.

Seb has already given you the correct litteral translation, but it doesn´t make any sense.

When it means in bad style, "música cursi/hortera". In Spain, when it is the typical low quality one you get in cheap romantic movies for teenage girls all dressed in pink, we also say "música pastelosa".

I've spoken Spanish since I was quite young and "cheesy" is one of the words I still struggle to translate properly. I tend to use "cursi" but I don't think it has the exact same meaning.

I what makes it difficult is that what's cheesy to some people is bonito to others! In Peru it was far more common for music to be called fea or chicha (a kind of rythmic music considered to be low quality).

I'll keep looking at this question to see if anyone else has any other suggestions!

So, from this as Julian's already pointed out, Cheesy usually means all of the above.
