Can rollo really mean tale tall like our dictionary says? Gracias. Me contaron rollos? They told me tall tales? Gracias.

No te enrolles - for me it is also - don't go on and on, don't get into a big story and keep going on .... so I guess that's the 'messy' part. tongue rolleye

Not often used in plural though.

Vaya rollo que me soltaron.

Este tipo tiene un rollo que no veas.

Rollos for me can be chismes (gossip) or enredos (confusing situations). But I have heard the expression "No te enrolles" to mean:

  • Don't get all bent out of shape

  • Don't read too much into it

  • Don't get so wrapped up in something
